Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP is very proud to announce that ten of its attorneys have been recognized by the well-respected SuperLawyers attorney rating service for inclusion on its 2017 roster. SuperLawyers utilizes a multi-phase nomination and selection process incorporating both peer feedback and review and independent research. Lawyers are not permitted to nominate themselves, nor to campaign for inclusion.
Returning to the list are a whopping five of our partners. Jacqueline Newman, our managing partner, was first named a SuperLawyer in 2013 and has retained this designation each year since. Jacqueline was also named one of the Top 50 New York Metro Attorneys by SuperLawyers, an honor she has achieved for the past five years. Barry Berkman, one of our founders, also returns to the list this year, marking his eighth consecutive year being recognized as New York SuperLawyer in the field of Family Law, and Wally Bottger, also a founding partner, continues as a SuperLawyer also for his eighth year.
Our partner Jessica Toelstedt was named a SuperLawyer for the first time this year, after having been recognized as a “SuperLawyers Rising Star” in 2014. Our partner Evan Schein has also been named a SuperLawyers Rising Star, as has Elizabeth Fox, who is of counsel to BBNR. Our other of-counsel attorneys, Marc Fleisher and Richard Abrams, have also been recognized by SuperLawyers in multiple prior years.
Four of our associates have also been recognized for the first time this year as up and coming Rising Stars in the field of Family Law: Kelly Kotliar, Heather Shulman, Alexandra Roth, and John Teufel.
