Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein just keeps growing! We are very pleased to announce that three new associates, Ariella DeutschIan Steinberg, and Allyson Weinberg, have joined our team of family and divorce attorneys.

Ariella comes to the firm with strong experience negotiating and litigating family law and divorce matters. Prior to joining BBNS, Ariella served as an associate with another prominent New York matrimonial firm. She has also interned for both state and federal mediation programs, where she learned to mediate conflicts productively and effectively. Ariella’s diverse legal background is a perfect fit for BBNS. “I am thrilled to join this impressive group of attorneys specializing in the entire spectrum of matrimonial and family law from mediation to collaborative law to litigation. Regardless of their individual process choices, all our clients benefit from a unique interdisciplinary approach because the attorneys at BBNS are constantly brainstorming together, learning from one another, and teaming up.” Ariella is a graduate of Barnard College and Fordham University School of Law.

Ian brings to BBNS his unique experience litigating and negotiating high-stakes real estate, contract, and commercial lease matters. Ian also graduated from Cardozo School of Law, where he participated in the Divorce Mediation Clinic. He is excited to apply his knowledge of complex finances and courtroom strategy to representing family law clients. As per Ian: “BBNS’s seasoned matrimonial attorneys emphasize a dedication to their clients and their needs. I believe my previous experience as a real estate attorney will help provide the firm’s clients with an important perspective in navigating through challenging times.”

Allyson joins BBNS after serving as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Theresa E. Mullen in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division, where she worked primarily on divorce proceedings and child custody matters. Allyson has also represented domestic violence victims pro bono through her work with the Courtroom Advocates Project. “I’m excited to join BBNS and be a part of such an incredible and well-rounded team,” says Allyson. “I’m looking forward to using my firsthand experience working in the judiciary for the direct benefit of my clients.” Allyson graduated cum laude from Cardozo School of Law and is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey.

Welcome, Ariella, Ian, and Allyson! We look forward to seeing your careers grow and are proud to offer our clients the skills, knowledge, and abilities you all bring to the firm.
